We have a new supplementary planning document (SPD) on Parking Standards and Transport Assessments, covering both residential and non-residential development.
The purpose of the Parking Standards and Transport Assessments SPD is to set out:
- standards and design principles for car parking in new residential and non-residential developments
- standards and design guidance for cycle parking provision, and
- guidance on when transport assessments and travel plans will be required to address the transport impacts of proposed developments.
This SPD replaces the standards set out in the residential parking standards SPD (November 2008) and the 'saved' Appendix 9 of the Portsmouth City Local Plan 2001-2011.
