The Local Development Scheme is a timetable for the production of the city’s local planning policy documents, including the Local Plan. It is important that plans for the future of the city are produced in a timely and efficient manner.
If they are not, development which is crucial to the city’s continued growth and prosperity may be delayed or abandoned and the coordination of housing development and infrastructure provision may be difficult to achieve. The Local Development Scheme sets out what local planning policy documents we will be preparing, what they will contain and when we will be producing them.
Updates on the Local Plan progress will be published on the Local Plan homepage.
