Full plans applications are the most widely used option, and require scaled plans indicating the proposed construction details and structural calculations to be submitted.

A building control surveyor will check the plans for compliance with the building regulations – we will contact your agent if there are any queries or problems and when these are resolved, an approval notice is issued.

  • A decision for a full plans application is made within the initial time period of five weeks, extendable to two months
  • We aim for a turnaround of ten working-days for professional small applications.

A full plan application is valid for three years from the date of deposit. Failure to commence work will mean the application is declared out of date and a fresh application will be required before work can commence.
