The Portsmouth City Council website has been completely rebuilt to meet new accessibility standards for the public sector. This will make it easier for everyone to use and will give the council greater flexibility to better meet the ongoing needs of its residents.
The project to rebuild the website has been completed using the council’s in-house digital team. This will deliver significant savings to the council compared to it being outsourced to an external agency.
In developing the new council website, resident feedback and existing data has been used to deliver improvements. The structure and content will remain largely the same, so pages visited most frequently will be found in familiar places.
The plan is to continue improving the new website based on data and resident feedback.
