There are a number of industrial developments in and around Portsmouth. Two of them, Voyager Park and Merlin Park, have been developed by SEGRO – a leading owner, asset manager and developer of modern warehousing, light industrial and data centre properties.
Voyager Park
The launch of Explorer and Discovery in November 2006 revealed the first phase of SEGRO’s multi-million pound Voyager Park scheme in Portsmouth. The 32-acre scheme in Portfield Road is the largest industrial development in the city for several years. When fully developed, Voyager Park will provide up to 645,000 sq ft of new industrial and warehouse space.
The completion of the first phase, which totals 172,900 sq ft of industrial and warehouse space, brings to the market twelve leasehold units from 3,400 sq ft to 13,890 sq ft and seventeen freehold units from 2,600 sq ft to 11,890 sq ft.
D1, the largest single freehold unit (10,510 sq ft), has now been sold to Clares Office Supplies in a £1m deal.
Merlin Park
Merlin Park is another SEGRO development on Airport Service Road, with a pre-let to Wellman Defence for a 36,000 sq ft state-of-the-art testing facility.
There’s a further 6.7 acres to be redeveloped that could accommodate new production/warehouse space from 25,000 to 135,000 sq ft.
Find out more about these two parks by visiting SEGRO’s website.
Anchorage Park
Anchorage Park represents a major employment opportunity with a total area of some 120,000 sq ft, located in the heart of the thriving Portsmouth economy. The facility was formerly the UK Headquarters of Raymarine, a worldwide leader in the innovation and manufacture of marine navigation equipment. The company are committed to relocate to brand-new accommodation elsewhere in Portsmouth.
