Find local food banks and how to access emergency food support.

Food banks provide around 3 days food for your household if you cannot afford to buy food.

Some food banks need a referral before you visit. If you're using a food bank for the first time, you'll need to show a form of ID.

Get a food bank referral

Food banks accept referrals from a wide range of local community organisations, including schools and support workers.

If you’re a council tenant, your local housing office can refer you.

If you're not sure who can refer you, contact Advice Portsmouth - call 023 9279 4340, text 07789 550593, or email advice.portsmouth@theyoutrust.org.uk.

Monday

Tuesday

10am to 11am

City Life Church, 85 Tangier Road, PO3 6JH

  • food bank voucher or e-referral required
  • if you are visiting for the first time, you will need to show a form of ID before receiving a foodbank voucher

11am to 12pm

All Saints Church, 334 Commercial Road, PO1 4BT

  • 3-day emergency food parcel and toiletries (when available)
  • get an e-voucher before you visit - available from community organisations, including Portsmouth City Council, family hubs, housing offices, Advice Portsmouth
  • if you are visiting the food bank for the first time, you will need to show a form of ID before you can get a foodbank voucher

12pm to 3pm

Haven Community Centre, Lake Road, PO1 4HA

  • one-off emergency food parcel
  • you must show proof of ID, including name and address, to receive a food parcel

Wednesday

11am to 1pm
