Reporting to the Strategic Transport Planner, you will be responsible for the implementation of key strategic and policy objectives toward active travel within the city. 

You will provide customer focused advice to a wide range of audiences, and provide analysis of active travel. As a specialist advisor, this will include contributing to the City Council’s wider policies and delivery.

Supporting the senior officers, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of small scale schemes for active travel modes working in conjunction with the Road Safety & Active Travel and Transport Planning teams.

You will provide advice to internal and external clients as required on active travel schemes and initiatives to bring about effective behavioural change campaigns and initiatives.

You will have excellent communication skills and relevant work experience as well as an appreciation of active travel as part of the wider transport debate.
