As part of the multi agency leadership team, the post holder will supervise Family Workers (and specialist family workers) to ensure that high quality help is provided in the most accessible way to our families and young people. The post holder will oversee the work to engage with families and young people to assess need holistically and work with them to develop sustainable solutions that improve their ability to achieve and sustain better outcomes for their children, this will mean ensuring that assessments are completed in a timely way and are of high quality; and ensuring that plans are child centred with smart actions and measurable outcomes.

This post-holder will ensure that help is provided to families and young peoples in the most effective way to ensure that the improved outcomes are achieved, including reducing demand on statutory child protection services and other specialist services.

You will have specialist knowledge in a specific area of practice that will contribute to the Portsmouth Team Around the Worker approach within the Multi agency Teams.

With a nationally recognised qualification, or equivalent experience you will have an up to date working knowledge of safeguarding children and be able to demonstrate ann ability to monitor and support staff safely.
