• Do you feel strongly about issues in Portsmouth?
  • Do you want to make your voice heard?
  • Would you like a chance to influence decisions?

Then join the Citizens Panel and tell the council what you really think.

The panel is a group of residents that reflects the population of Portsmouth. It has hundreds of members.

We use it as a sounding board. When important subjects come up, we consult members of the panel and ask what they think.

Their views help us shape services and make decisions that are right for local people.

Being on the Citizens' Panel means answering around four or five questionnaires each year, which give us feedback on our services and future plans.

We contact people by email and do most of our consultation using online questionnaires. Each one takes just 10-15 minutes to fill in.

Occasionally we might invite eight to 12 people to the council for open discussions on important issues.

You don't have to take part every time. If a questionnaire comes through and you're busy or don't want to complete it, that's fine.

To apply to be a member of the Citizens' Panel please use our sign-up form.

We'll just need your name, address and email address.

We'll aim to get back to you within 14 days.
