The service includes regulation of clean air, food safety and standards, animal welfare, statutory nuisances, fair trading/rogue and fraudulent traders and age restricted sales amongst many others.

Your new role

The Regulatory Services Technician is an important support role with the team responsible for assisting with the delivery of all functions within Regulatory Services.

The role will be the first point of contact delivering front line services across the entire service - processing and responding to service enquiries and delivering routine administrative duties, as well as providing pest control treatments to the public, private and commercial areas and assisting with and undertaking environmental sampling and monitoring responsibilities involving air, water, noise, odour and food.

What you'll need to succeed

We're looking for a proactive team player who has a good operational understanding of several key regulatory service functions and detailed knowledge of the administrative functions likely to be undertaken in a local authority enforcement team.

If you have excellent communication skills partnered with experience in a similar role and knowledge of pest control investigations, proofing and treating we want to hear from you.

A full driving license is required and ideally you will hold a relevant pest control qualification.

What you'll get in return

As well as highly competitive pay you'll receive all the benefits of working within a local authority organisation, which ranges from flexible working hours and a fantastic pension to a fully-fledged rewards portal giving you access to a wide range of discounts at local businesses and high street stores.
