Education Caseworkers for Looked After Children - Specialism Unaccompanied Minor
Joining a challenging and supportive team whose priority is in improving outcomes for Portsmouth's Looked After Children and young people you'll be supporting social workers in undertaking Personal Education Plan meetings and the monitoring of the educational progress of all Portsmouth Looked After Children with a focus on unaccompanied minors.
Working on a daily basis with young people, schools, parents and carers to promote the educational achievement of Portsmouth's looked after children; you will be providing direct support to looked after children to enable them to make educational progress. Work will involve providing advice, support and liaison with social workers and carers of those looked after children who are unaccompanied minors needing support regarding school and college applications, school attendance, behaviour and disaffection in Portsmouth and out of city schools.
