An opportunity has arisen for two Summer Playscheme Workers within a charity based in Portsmouth.  The Roberts Centre enjoys a reputation for its work with families and children and has achieved national recognition for its high-quality services in the areas of Homelessness, Parenting and Childcare.

Are you fun, happy, creative and inspiring, with excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of health and safety and safeguarding regulations?

If so you might be just who we are looking for.

We are looking for two inspirational people to join our team for 6 weeks over the summer.  You will be planning and delivering a range of stimulating activities such as, cooking and social activities, storytelling, going on outings, crafting and outside play provision. You will also be providing snacks, clearing up after the session and ensuring the children are in a safe and secure environment.

As key members of the summer playscheme, you will build close links with parents, referring keyworkers and activity providers and ensure the welfare and health and safety of every child and member of the team. This will require previous school, nursery or youth work experience, a First Aid Certificate and, ideally, a childcare or youth work qualification.

You need to be available for the whole of the summer period as you will be expected to start on 22 July for 5 days training/planning and 29 July – 30 August for play scheme delivery.

You will be someone who shares our values and who has the passion to help us to improve the lives of Children and Families.

Please note we do not accept CVs.

Successful applicants are required to complete a DBS check.  Disclosure expense will be met by the Roberts Centre.
