An opportunity has arisen for a Circle of Support Partner within a charity based in Portsmouth. The Roberts Centre enjoys a reputation for its work with families and children and has achieved national recognition for its high quality services in the areas of Homelessness, Parenting and Childcare.
As a Circle of Support Partner, you will be someone who shares our values and who has the passion to help us to improve the lives of Children, Families and Adults. You will also work closely with other Circle of Support Partners from our partner organisations. In return you will receive a generous holiday entitlement and a personal development plan along with a comprehensive welfare package.
The Circle of Support Partner works in partnership with people who are in immediate hardship and requesting support in addressing the underlying issues causing their crisis. The Partner assists with situations arising from debt, fuel or food poverty, other financial issues, homelessness or family breakdown. A working experience in at least one of these areas will be required.
Support is provided to the people in Portsmouth who have been referred by the Roberts Centre, Advice Portsmouth, Portsmouth Food Bank or through outreach at other Food Banks.
Having dealt with the immediate crisis, the Partner will work with a person to identify and develop their circle of support which might be made up of family, friends, volunteers or other agencies. The circle of support will be there in the future to assist a person if they are at risk of hardship, understanding the triggers that lead to those crises occurring.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by Roberts Centre.
