Residential Social Services Officer
Band: 5 - £18,413 - £20,653 pro rata plus 17 % shift enhancement to include shift and weekend working.
Location: Beechside Short Break Service - providing care for children and young people with physical and or learning difficulties, including Autism and cerebral palsy.
Do you have a good working knowledge and experience of working in a residential/short break unit with children who have a range of disabilities?
As a Residential Social Services officer you will provide care to young people with a range of complex needs. You will work alongside the young people by helping them to achieve their specific individual needs and improving their future outcomes.
You will be expected to apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures and guidance relating to residential child care.
In addition you will work alongside other professionals such as case-holders, CAMHS, and schools to provide a consistent team approach to manage care & risk or representing the team at meetings.
You will be required to maintain individual records and carry out other related administrative tasks. You will also be required to work individually and as a member of a team with young people, as agreed in their care plans and within agreed house rules.
