Coronavirus: council service information and advice

Information about changes to council services as a result of coronavirus

Portsmouth Pride returns to Castle Field in Southsea for a celebration of acceptance and inclusivity.

Organisers aim for the event to be more than just an LGBTQ+ parade and gathering. As times are moving on, so should the ethos of Pride. As such, Portsmouth Pride will not discriminate against any person who wants to find out more information or meet new people. Instead, it will create a safe space for everyone in the local community.

Portsmouth Pride is comprised of a group of local LGBT people, who have got together to create an pride event for the city. They welcome anyone who wants to be involved in this celebration to get in touch. They've created a committee, and are working with Portsmouth City Council and many local businesses and organisations to put the show on the road.

Following a parade along the seafront, Portsmouth Pride begins in earnest with a series of live performances on Castle Field. Headlining the bash are Big Brovas, Booty Luv and Charlie Hides.

The aim of Pride is to raise awareness through entertainment - don't miss it!

Pride is free to attend, and takes place between 11am and 7pm.
