Information about changes to council services as a result of coronavirus

Bert & Gert's is a craft market new to Palmerston Road for 2019.

Started through a love of arts and crafts in 2012, Bert and Gert’s is run by Birmingham-based brothers Mark and Jason Wilkes. The name comes from their grandparents, with Bert being their paternal grandfather and Gert being their maternal grandmother. This makes Bert and Gert’s a family business with a family name.

The brothers say: “We are very proud that our events have a community feel, all the traders are supportive of each other and we want to give them the opportunity to grow their hobbies and passions in to a successful sustainable businesses.”

Run on the second Saturday of each month, the Bert & Gert's Southsea Market attracts local arts and crafts businesses to sell their wares - offering customers the chance to pick up something quirky, unique and locally made. The aim is to encourage, support and promote small businesses and help build their customer base.
