The Harbour School Outreach Service is looking to appoint a Pupil &Family Practitioner working across mainstream schools in Portsmouth. Either as a secondment opportunity or a fixed term contract from 1st September 2018 – 31 August 2019
Pupil & Family Practitioner - The Harbour School Outreach Service
22.5 hours a week (Term Time Only - 39 weeks per year)
This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and professional outreach service supporting children, families and school staff to develop social, emotional and resilience skills.
The focus of the role will be to work as part of the Multi-Agency Behaviour Support Service (MABS), across all key stages to support children, young people and families to learn social, emotional and resilience skills to remain in mainstream education.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- Evidence of working effectively with children and young people with SEMH needs.
- A commitment to inclusion and inclusive practice.
- A sound understanding of effective interventions and support for developing social, emotional and resilience skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities.
