This post is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is open to applicants aged 16-25.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with groups in Portsmouth and Hampshire, helping them to uncover their D-Day heritage and share it with others. You will work closely with community groups in Portsmouth and support them throughout the process of exploring their heritage. This could include the groups carrying out research, developing skills through training, accessing our collections and presenting their heritage to a wider audience.
The role will also include organising meetings before, during and after the project for the groups to meet and share knowledge and ideas. Using their experiences you will create an online toolkit to help other people go through the same process. Throughout the project you will carry out evaluation and help to compile reports on the project for the Heritage Lottery Fund. You will work with your manager to keep track of the project budget.
