Making an application
Secondary school online applications are now closed. Late applicants can still apply using a paper application form.
Before you start your application:
For students going to secondary school in September 2020, allocation day is 2 March 2020.
We know this can be a nervous wait to see whether your child has been allocated a place at their preferred school.
This page contains information about what you can do to get ready, and a reminder about what happens on the day.
Before allocation day
Make sure you can get access to My Education Portal
It can take a few days to reset passwords, so make sure you can log in to the portal now - this means you're all set for the day.
Check your details are up to date
We'll send your allocation email or letter to the address we have to My Education Portal, so check it's correct.
Remind yourself of the application process
Our school admissions booklet has all the information you need about how the process works including the allocation process.
On allocation day
You will receive an email on Monday 2 March if you have applied online. This is unless you have ticked the option to receive a letter instead. All online applicants can log in and view their outcome.
- Visit the My Education portal
Only parents who have applied online will be emailed. If you applied using a paper copy of the form, or ticked to say you wanted to receive a letter, we will send your letter by second class post on allocation day.
Allocation details won't be given over the telephone - please don't call us. We won't be able to give you any information over the phone about the outcome of your application.
