Information about changes to council services as a result of coronavirus

The aim of this page is to give advance warning of roadworks and closures to Portsmouth residents. The council recognises that this can cause inconvenience. This information is provided to help you to plan ahead of your journey and minimise delays.

Type of works: Telecommunications, 2 way lights

Duration: 9.30am to 3.30pm, 27 - 31 July

Type of works: Telecommunications, multi-way lights

Duration: 9.30am to 3.30pm, 18 - 24 August

Charlotte Street

Type of works: Closure from Landport View to Cascades approach road, cyclists only

Duration: 22 May until further notice

Knowsley Road 

Type of works: Utility works, 2 way lights

Duration: 27 July - 7 August

Lichfield Road 

Type of works: General maintenance, road closure

Duration: 8am to 4pm, 10 - 14 August

Milton Road junction Priorsdean Avenue 

Type of works: Utility repair and maintenance, lane closure

Duration: 7pm to 5am, 3 - 8 August

Southampton Road 

Type of works: Landscaping, lane closure

Duration: 7.30am to 1pm

Southsea seafront closure (Clarence Esplanade and Southsea Esplanade) 

Type of works:  road closure for social distancing
