On Tuesday 1 August the D-Day Museum and the Capturing the Spirit community archive project from Paulsgrove will host a 'Wartime Memories' event at Hillside & Wymering Centre from 10am - 4pm.

Come and find out more about D-Day and life in Paulsgrove and Wymering during the war - the event will feature the D-Day Pop Up Museum and Capturing the Spirit will be display photos from Wymering during the Second World War.

The Pop Up Museum has family friendly activities, mystery artefacts, interactive wooden tanks and the chance for visitors to record their family memories of D-Day.  There is also information about the Heritage Lottery Funded D-Day Museum transformation and its reopening in 2018.

Felicity Wood, Public Participation Officer at the D-Day Museum said: "While the D-Day Museum is being transformed we're out and about in Portsmouth bringing people closer to the story of D-Day. It's great to have the opportunity to team up with Capturing the Spirit and bring an insight into 1940s life to visitors from Paulsgrove."
