Coronavirus: council service information and advice

Information about changes to council services as a result of coronavirus

Due to operational reasons on Wednesday 24 July 2019, Biffa have had to make some changes on their rounds. This has meant that the crew collected bins in certain areas earlier than residents may have expected.

This has affected bin collections on the following roads:

  • Napier Road
  • Worsley Street
  • Adair Road
  • Kassassin Street
  • Eastney Street

If you live on one of the roads listed above and your bins were not collected today, please ensure your bins are out by 7am tomorrow Thursday 25 July and Biffa will make arrangements to empty them this week.

Collections on Craneswater Avenue have also been affected today. Due to resurfacing work, the crew were unable to collect many of the bins. Biffa will make arrangements to return and collect the rubbish of affected households, so please make sure your bins are still out for a 7am collection on Thursday 25 July.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you have any other questions about bin collections, please visit our recycling and rubbish page.
