To celebrate carers week and encourage more carers to get the help and support available to them the Carers Centre has planned a week of events throughout the city this carers week.
Monday 12 June from 10am-2pm in the Atrium at QA hospital - information and advice for carers information
Tuesday 13 June from 10am - 2pm Carers Information Day at the Guildhall with Portsmouth Carers Voice. Meet and talk to health and social care professionals and join in a Q&A session with senior health and social care managers.
Jacky Charman from Portsmouth Carer Voice said: "The carers' information day is chance for carers to discuss their concerns and learn about the support offered by various organisations. There will be more than 80 stalls offering help and advice."
Wednesday 14 June from 10am-2pm in St Mary's outpatients department
Friday 16th June from 10am - 3pm with Time To Change - opposite H&M in Commercial Rd featuring the Time to Change Cinema showing short films on mental health.
Caroline Haworth, Carers Centre Development Officer said: "We're really excited to be working with Time to Change during carers week to raise the profile of mental health in Portsmouth and challenge stigma and discrimination. Pop down and see us in Commercial Road on 16 June we look forward to talking to you."
