Coronavirus: council service information and advice

Information about changes to council services as a result of coronavirus

We run a range of out of school clubs for children to access. These are mainly based in areas of need and high deprivation.

They run on an open access basis, this means children are free to come and go as they please.

We aim to be child centred, friendly, safe and fun so that children can play regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, cultural background, physical and mental abilities. However, the nature of this play means children who use one of the clubs cannot be confined to the club or its grounds or prevented from coming and going as they please.

These clubs are not aimed as childcare and are for children aged 5 to 12.
