Our Healthy Walks programme is a great way to stay active and make new friends at the same time. Our volunteers lead a range of walk routes and distances catering for all abilities.
For more information visit our walks in Portsmouth page.
There is no charge to come along, and you can even earn rewards as you make your way to 100 walks. We recently celebrated with over 100 walkers who had all achieved over 100 walks with afternoon tea on board HMS Warrior!

Do you want to feel fitter, manage your weight or improve your balance, but feel like a gym or fitness class isn't for you?
Our Exercise Diary lists over twenty gentle exercise classes for you to choose from. They are mainly daytime classes, all held at community centres and halls rather than gyms, and everyone's welcome.
- Tai Chi. Gentle movements that focus on balance and breathing. These classes can be calming as well as improving your mobility
- Chair Exercise. A gentle exercise class from your chair. These classes can improve your mobility without the risk of falling
- Stretch and Tone. Movements to improve your strength and mobility. These classes are for the slightly more able, but shouldn't get you out of breath
Contact details for each group are given in the Community Exercise Diary.
Meals on Wheels
Our Meals on Wheels service delivers a hot meal to you in the comfort of your home every lunch time. If you prefer, we can deliver the week's meals frozen, for you to heat up yourself.
We deliver seven days a week, every day of the year, so you can enjoy our meals every day, or just the days you choose.
Our balanced menu includes the choice of four different meals, including a vegetarian option, and two deserts. We can provide Kosher and Halal meals, as well as catering for special diets and diabetes.
Get peckish in the evening? We can also deliver an 'evening tea' at the same time as your lunch.
