The Care Act 2014 placed a duty on local authorities to make sure that people have the information and advice they need to make informed decisions about their care and support.
This includes people who wish to prevent their need for care and support later in life, and people who arrange their care and support privately.
To achieve this, we have developed an Information and Advice Strategy. This sets out our vision for information and advice in the city, and the approach we'll take to get there. The key part of our approach is to work with members of the public, people who use services, and organisations across the community.
See the documents section below for information on our progress so far.
