The Children in Care Council (CiCC) is a group of young people who are all cared for by Portsmouth City Council, and gives children and young people the chance to shape and influence the parenting that they receive at every level, it gives young people a chance to have a say about the things that really matter in their lives, helping to shape the overall strategy for cared for children and young people in Portsmouth.

When young people come into care, they are informed about the Children in Care Council by their social worker and Participation Officer. If you want to be involved, the CiCC meet every six weeks where young people put together the agenda and discuss projects and any issues close to their heart.
