Green Neighbours are local people who volunteer to help us share information about energy saving and recycling with people in their area.

Could you volunteer as a Green Neighbour?

Anyone and everyone can get involved. Whether you already have handy green hints and tips from your own experience, or are interested in discovering and sharing information about energy saving and recycling - we want to work with you to build a greener community.

The Green Neighbours project is primarily based in the Milton and Eastney areas of Portsmouth - but residents attend from all over Portsmouth. You may commit as little or as much time as you wish - Green Neighbours is a great way to meet new people, have fun, learn new skills and become part of the community.

Energy saving video

Our first Green Neighbours project was to make a film with residents of Bresler House, who shared the ways they used to saved energy in the 1940s with children from Victory Primary School. The children looked at how they could use these tips to save energy now.
