We all want Portsmouth to continue to be the great waterfront city.

In order to maximise the potential of the seafront, we have drawn up a masterplan (Supplementary Planning Document) which sets out how we think the area could be improved, enhanced and protected over the next 15 years. This plan was adopted by the city council on 10 April 2013.

The Seafront masterplan will provide landowners and developers with guidance about what type of development is appropriate and how planning applications will be assessed. It will also act as a guide for future council investment in the area and provide a framework for funding bids.

The  seafront masterplan and other associated documents are available below.
