They provide information and support to volunteers, and signpost volunteers with volunteer-involving organisations from the voluntary, community and statutory sector.
They work with volunteer-involving organisations across Portsmouth to advise on good practice in recruiting and supporting volunteers.
They work with the private sector to facilitate employee volunteering and help business fulfil their corporate social responsibility commitment.
The Portsmouth Together office is based within the Portsmouth central library. The office is led by the head of volunteering and social action and staffed by a combination of employed staff and volunteers.
The Portsmouth Together team is funded by Portsmouth City Council.
