Information about changes to council services as a result of coronavirus

We recognise the incredible contribution and role our local charities, not-for-profit and voluntary sector organisations play in the local community. Thanks to the Portsmouth Lottery, we are able to offer one-off grants to local good causes through our small grants fund. Organisations can apply for up to £1,000.

The small grants funding panel meets four times a year to assess applications that will support activities and services in Portsmouth, or will directly benefit Portsmouth residents.

The grant could cover the purchase of needed equipment, or a specific project or activity. Before applying, read our funding policy guidelines and terms and conditions to make sure that you qualify for our small grant funding.

How to apply

To apply, please download and complete the application form, then either:

  • email the completed form to us at ,
  • or print out the completed form and post it to:

    Voluntary Sector Team,
    Floor 1, Central Library,
    Guildhall Square,
    PO1 2DX

    Apply before each of the panel deadlines in order to be considered at the next panel meeting.

The deadline to receive applications for our next funding panel is Friday 28 February by 5pm.
