Portsmouth Enterprise Centre

The Portsmouth Enterprise Centre was the first purpose-built centre for start-up and micro-businesses in Europe. The council also owns and manages Challenge Enterprise Centre and Victory Business Centre to provide start-up units for office and industrial use that are available on flexible terms for up to 130 start-up and small businesses.

The aim is to help increase business start-up rates and provide a 'first premises' solution for micro businesses.

Lakeside North Harbour

Lakeside North Harbour is an established office campus, covering an area of 101 acres and comprising over 600,000 sq ft of office accommodation, already home to a number of established companies, including Coffin Mew, Capita, Regus, Handelsbanken, Molex and Wiggle, Lakeside is one of the best business locations available in Portsmouth.

The Technopole

The latest purpose built centre, The Technopole innovation centre opened in Spring 2002 and although it shares the same broad aims as the enterprise centres, its focus is on encouraging high-technology companies to set up and grow.


In 2008 Regus established its Portsmouth operation at Lakeside North Harbour providing fully serviced offices and meeting rooms. Cathedral Innovation Centre

The Cathedral Innovation Centre was founded in a partnership between the Royal Society of Arts and local organisations. The Cathedral Innovation Centre provides bespoke support to start-up and growth ventures and its own innovation programme.

As well as working with ventures in the food, tourism, technology and property sectors it specialises in supporting entrepreneurial responses to pressing social needs.
