Portsmouth City Council is putting on several fun activities at Party for Somerstown this October. It will be in honour of the Horatia and Leamington tower blocks project, now known as the Somers Orchard project, where demolition is due to finish soon and the council is keen to reveal its latest plans for new Somerstown homes to the community.

Party for Somerstown is open for to everyone on a drop-in basis so there is no need to book a place – those who wish to attend can simply turn up on the day and join the fun.

There will be a host of family fun and entertainment for people of all ages throughout the party, featuring (for free):

  • Ice cream
  • Tea and coffee
  • Snacks and refreshments
  • Live music
  • Entertainers
  • Face painting
  • Storytellers
  • Arts and crafts

Everyone at the party will also be able to see the council reveal their latest plans for 400+ new Somerstown homes. Thoughts and feedback from everyone will be welcomed by the engagement team on the day.

There will also be opportunities to find out more about what’s going on across the city and the services available to help local residents.
