Explore the history of Portsmouth Cathedral, with free guided tours and hands on activities for the whole family!
Learn about the astounding inventions that are in the Cathedral, like its magnificent Organ, as well as historical figures such as Jonas Hanaway and his connection to the handy umbrella. While the windy weather in Portsmouth might not allow for much use of umbrellas, they are undoubtedly a great invention!
Go along for the free activity day on Saturday 10 September (10am to 3pm), and help make a great wall of umbrellas to hang in the Cathedral. The team will also be running free tours of the Cathedral, going to parts not normally accessible to the public.
