The results of the Portsmouth City Council elections on Thursday 7 May have been announced following a count at the Guildhall, Portsmouth.
There are 42 seats on Portsmouth City Council.
One seat in each of the council’s 14 wards was up for election this year and the political make-up of the council is now:
- Liberal Democrat – 22
- Reform – 12
- Labour – 4
- Conservative – 3
- Non-aligned independent – 1
Prior to the election the council comprised:
- Liberal Democrat – 18
- Reform – 10
- Labour – 9
- Conservative – 4
- Non-aligned independents – 1
