The D-Day Story in Portsmouth is offering residents a discount on entry to the museum during English Tourism Week 2026, from 13–22 March.
Anyone with a PO or SO postcode can get 25% off the on-the-door ticket price to the museum on Clarence Esplanade, Southsea.
Led by Visit England, the annual campaign raises awareness of the importance of the tourism sector, showcasing its value to local communities and economies.
The theme this year is ‘Local Stories. National Growth. Celebrating English Tourism Week.’
Visit England’s latest report, The Economic Value of Tourism in the UK, shows tourism in England is worth £127 billion to the UK economy. Inbound and domestic visitor spend is worth £108 billion a year in England, supporting around 2.1 million jobs nationwide.
Cllr Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council with responsibility for culture, said:
“The D-Day Story is one of Portsmouth’s most important cultural attractions, telling a story that is not only central to our city’s identity but to our national history.
“English Tourism Week is a great opportunity to celebrate the places on our doorstep and encourage residents to rediscover what makes Portsmouth such a special place to live and visit. By offering a discount to local people, The D-Day Story is helping more residents connect with our heritage while supporting the wider visitor economy that brings jobs and investment into the city.”
