All council-owned play areas are accessible to people with disabilities. This complies with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
Although the Act does not cover play equipment, newly developed play areas have been designed to exceed DDA requirements by making it easier for people with a disability to move around the play area, and by providing more suitable play equipment for children with a disability.
