Southsea based streetwear brand JAWNS has taken up residence in the Portsmouth Pop Up shop in Cascades, bringing a bold mix of premium trainers and urban fashion to the heart of the city.

Founded by Jack and Jesse, JAWNS curates the best in street-style footwear and clothing, from globally hyped brands to rising independents, paired with handpicked accessories that define the urban aesthetic. The move marks the brand’s first foray into high street retail, made possible through Portsmouth City Council’s pop-up shop scheme, which supports local entrepreneurs to trial retail in a prime location without the long-term commitment or cost.

Jack founder of JAWNS, said:

“At JAWNS, we’re not just selling sneakers, we’re bringing a movement to the streets of Portsmouth. The Portsmouth Pop Up shop is where streetwear culture meets premium design. From the moment you walk in, we want shoppers to feel part of a community that lives and breathes street culture. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity this scheme provides. It’s a game-changer for small businesses like ours.”

The Portsmouth Pop Up shop scheme is a partnership between Portsmouth City Council, Cascades and Flude, designed to help local businesses grow and strengthen the city’s economy. Previous tenants, SP Collections and Goly Natural, have successfully transitioned into permanent retail spaces.

Councillor Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council and Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said:

“This is a great example of how we’re supporting local businesses to grow and helping to strengthen our economy. The Portsmouth Pop Up shop gives entrepreneurs like Jack and Jesse, the chance to test their ideas, build a customer base and take their business to the next level.”

Businesses can apply to rent the Portsmouth Pop Up shop for a minimum of 13 weeks.
