The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities’ Fingertips website provides interactive data profiles for Portsmouth. The website shows this at local authority, Primary Care Network and other levels (e.g. GP Practice Profiles). It includes the Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) which sets out the national high level outcomes we are working to achieve across the public health system. You can explore the Portsmouth data in more detail with our Microsoft Power BI reports.

The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities have produced the Health of the region data explorer, which brings together a regional and local authority view of the latest annual public health data and indicators. The report draws on published data alongside context and interpretation covering a wide range of public health topics, including:

  • life expectancy
  • mortality and burden of disease
  • wider determinants of health
  • best start in life
  • risk factor and disease prevalence
  • healthy ageing

The health of the region data explorer was developed to support joint strategic needs assessments. The report shows how health indicators have changed over time nationally and by region, this explorer focuses on comparing latest data between different regions and local areas. It provides an up‑to‑date overview of key public health indicators at regional and local authority level, adding context and narrative to help public health and NHS leaders interpret the data

The JSNA is an ongoing process, which we update as more information becomes available. You can send feedback and suggestions about what you would like to see to our email: jsna@portsmouthcc.gov.uk

JSNAs from other Health and Wellbeing Boards across Hampshire and the Wessex area can be accessed via the Wessex Health Partners Data Directory, which also signposts a range of related local data resources.
