Some vaccines are offered to people who are more likely to get certain diseases.
These include:
- Hepatitis B vaccine – for babies, children, and people at higher risk
- BCG vaccine – protects against tuberculosis (TB), offered to those at increased risk
- Chickenpox vaccine – not routine, but given to people who are close to someone vulnerable (like pregnant women or people with weak immune systems)
Speak to your GP if you think you or your child may need one of these vaccines.
