Public rapid EV chargepoints

There are a variety of rapid chargepoints across Portsmouth, operated by different providers. Portsmouth City Council commissions Mer to operate nine rapid chargepoints within Council run car parks. We also work with Zest to provide public, on-street residential chargepoints suited for longer charging sessions.

Maximum stay at one of the Council commissioned Mer rapid chargepoints is two hours to allow other EV owners to charge their vehicles when needed. There is no charge for parking while charging.

• Isambard Kingdom Brunel Car Park, Alec Rose Lane, Portsmouth PO1 2BX – one chargepoint (located in the surface car park, not the multi-storey car park)
• All Saints Car Park, City Centre, PO1 4BT – three chargepoints
• Stubbington Avenue Car Park, The Annex, 2 Stubbington Avenue, North End, Portsmouth PO2 0HS – one chargepoint
• Portsmouth Park and Ride, Tipner Lane, Portsmouth PO2 8AN – three chargepoints (only available during Portsmouth Park and Ride car park opening hours)
• London Road Car Park, London Road, Cosham, Portsmouth PO6 3EE – one chargepoint
