The Small Business “taster” market planned for this Saturday in Commercial Road has been postponed to Sunday 15 December due to predicted strong winds.
A curated selection of local entrepreneurs offering edible bouquets, handcrafted local beers, locally designed clothing, and handmade cards are due to showcase their unique products at this pop-up market in Commercial Road.
A council spokesperson said:
“Safety is our top priority for our residents, visitors and traders. Due to the predicted high winds for this weekend, we have made the decision to postpone the Small Business market in Commercial Road to Sunday 15 December.
Our markets team are working hard to rearrange the event and are supporting the small businesses taking part. These small businesses offer fantastic value and quality, and we urge all to support them and shop local.”
Local bus companies First Solent and Stagecoach South will still offer free bus travel to high street businesses on Saturday 7 December as part of the Small Business Saturday campaign to shop local and support high street businesses.
