Southsea Food Festival, organised by Portsmouth City Council, attracted thousands of visitors to the centre of Southsea over the weekend to celebrate some of the best food and drink producers in the region. With over 60 traders to choose from, visitors sampled a smorgasbord of culinary delights.
Councillor Steve Pitt, Leader of the council with responsibilities for economic responsibilities said:
“Southsea Food Festival is a highlight of the year, and our 16th edition proved just as popular as ever. It was fantastic to see people of all ages enjoying the delicious food and vibrant entertainment that Southsea has to offer.
As one the largest food festivals in the South, Southsea Food Festival is an important event that supports our businesses and local economy.”
The food festival celebrates the thriving and diverse food scene of Portsmouth & Southsea’s independent restaurants, retailers, and communities. Southsea Food Festival is part of a programme of activities organised by Portsmouth City Council to support small businesses in Portsmouth.
