What information can I access for my ward?
You will be redirected to the Fingertips website run by the Department of Health & Social Care which will provide an area profile data view (which can be changed to other data views – for example, trends).
There are four Topics:
The first Topic is ‘Our Community’ which shows information about:
- Population
- Ethnicity & language
- Deprivation, Housing and living environment
- Employment
The second Topic is ‘Behavioural risk factors and child health’ which shows information about:
- Behavioural risk factors
- Child and maternal health
- Children and young people’s health care activity
The third Topic is ‘Disease and poor health’ which shows information about:
- Emergency hospital admissions: adults
- Cancer incidence
- Hospital admissions – harm and injury; and Long Term Conditions
The fourth Topic is ‘Life expectancy and causes of death’ which shows information about:
- Life expectancy
- Mortality
