This Easter The D-Day Story has an exciting range of activities for families to enjoy.

Visitors can come and learn about Spitfires on Tuesday 2 and 9 April and enjoy designing and creating their own mini-Spitfire to take home.

Tanks are the theme for the craft activities on Wednesday 3 and 10 April. Visit the museum and take inspiration from the Beach Armoured Recovery Vehicle and Churchill and Sherman tanks which are all on display.

Landing Crafts inspire the activities on Thursday 4 and 11 April. Discover the role of the Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel during the Normandy landings, explore the museum’s Landing Craft Tank 7074 and make your own mini landing craft to take home.

New for the Easter holidays, families can also experience the brand-new audio guide through the museum, created especially for younger visitors. Discover the stories behind the events of June 1944 and learn about the individuals and objects involved in this key moment in history.

Ross Fairbrother, The D-Day Story General Manager said:

“I am delighted The D-Day Story is again offering a range of activities for families over Easter. Our new family audio guide highlights key objects and stories told throughout the museum to a younger audience during this, the 80th anniversary year of the Normandy landings.”

All activities are included in the admission price. No need to book but events can be very popular, so visitors are advised to come early.

Leisure card holders receive 40% off full price tickets bought on the door.
