Portsmouth City Council has confirmed that its Southsea firework display will still go ahead on 1 November, based on the current weather forecast.
Portsmouth residents can still enjoy the free family-friendly event on Southsea Common this Wednesday, but there will be some changes due to the forecast adverse weather and ground conditions.
A 20-minute display will take place from 7pm – 7:20pm. Additional entertainment and live music has been cancelled, but there will still be food & beverage options.
Portsmouth City Council will continue to closely monitor the weather conditions, and any further updates can be found at www.portsmouth.gov.uk/preparing-portsmouth-for-storm-ciaran, on Facebook and on X (formerly known as Twitter).
