Residents from across Portsmouth are welcome to join in the fun at the PO6 Super Summer Party for a free extravaganza of food, games, entertainment, musicians, the chance to win an iPad and much more!

All taking place at Hillside and Wymering Centre, PO6 3PY on Saturday 2 September, 12-3pm with no booking required.

All that’s asked from residents is that they complete a very short and simple survey in exchange for the free food and entertainment.

Hosted by Portsmouth City Council, this community engagement party is set to be the biggest one yet, with many services teaming up from across the council. This includes HAF Fun Pompey, Health and Care Portsmouth, Switched on Portsmouth and Housing, Neighbourhood and Building services.

Cllr Darren Sanders, cabinet member for Housing and Tackling Homelessness said: “This will be a fantastic day that will not only be lots of fun, but it will help shape the future of our city too.

“This method of engaging with our residents has proven to be really successful with over 3,500 attending parties last year and having their say on Somers Orchard (the new community-chosen name for the Horatia and Leamington project), Hilsea LodgeHilsea Lido, and Cosham Opportunity Area. It was a chance for locals share what they think should happen to the sites.

“The feedback we get from residents will help us to understand what they want and need from us and, therefore, we can make more informed decisions and plans for the future of Portsmouth.”
