Three of Portsmouth's beloved parks have been crowned Green Flag winners for over a decade, solidifying their status as some of the finest in the nation.

Environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy has officially named The Rock Garden, Baffins Pond and Milton Park as Green Flag Winners in its annual awards announcement.

The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.

Cllr Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council with responsibility for culture and leisure said:

“It’s wonderful that we have been recognised yet again for the beautiful parks we have here in Portsmouth for residents and visitors to enjoy.

The awards are a testament not only to the hard work of our park employees who work tirelessly to provide clean spaces, but also the visitors who treat these beautiful parks with respect – thank you all.”
