Art lovers are in for a treat as Portsmouth City Council's Hotwalls Studios will host a flurry of free events to kick off the summer.

The city’s historic fortifications have been transformed into thirteen working studios where artists and designer-makers start and grow their creative ventures in an environment of mutual support, creativity and innovation.

Cllr Steve Pitt, Leader of the council with responsibility for culture, said: “Hotwalls Studios has such an exciting buzz, especially when there are events, workshops and exhibitions going on. This summer is set to be full of fun and creativity. These are great opportunities for people to support local artists, and to enjoy a feel-good day out with family and friends.”

Seven events to catch at the Hotwalls Studios:

  1. 27-28 May – Hotwalls Creative Market
