Are you planning to visit a council office to make a payment?
Our computer system is being upgraded, and at the moment visitors to our offices are not able to pay by card.
At most offices you will be able to pay by cash or cheque, but it might take longer for us to help you.
You can still pay from home, by card, using our automated payment services. These cover most kinds of payments that residents need to make. Just phone 0800 876 6576, or go to our online payment page.
The upgrade also means that:
- the self-service machines in the Civic Offices reception area won’t be able to take payments
- staff won’t be able to process card payments manually over the phone
Staff at the following sites will be able to take payments in cash or by cheque, but it will take a bit longer to help you:
- Civic Offices cashiers
- housing offices
- enterprise centres
- council community centres
- the Learning Place
We will have card payments back to normal as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.
